Summer Soccer Academy for 2nd-8th Graders

10 Sessions of Soccer Training and Fun this Summer!

Summer Soccer Academy training series:

  • June 26th – August 2nd
  • 5:30pm-7pm (June 26, 28, July 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31, Aug 2)
     
  • Location: ATA-Jefferson Turf (1650 W. 22nd Ave., Eugene 97405)
  • Who: Kids currently in Grades 2 - 8
  • Cost: $75

Sessions will be led by current U of O women's soccer players:

Taylor Kuroda:   Senior Forward on the Oregon Duck Women’s Soccer Team.    Earned Pac-12 All-Academic First Team in 2017/18

Alyssa Hinojosa:    Junior Defender on the Oregon Duck Women’s Soccer Team.  Earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention in 2017/18

The Summer Soccer Academy teaches the fundamentals of soccer for all skill levels in a fun, positive, and age appropriate environment. The goal is to give each individual the tools to have success on the field and to grow a love for the beautiful game within each player. Commitment, desire, and a willingness to learn is what makes one successful.

The training sessions will be age group specific.

2nd-5th Graders: The focus for this group is on Soccer FUNdamentals.

-Dribbling
-Trapping
-Ball Control
-Shooting
-Basic Passing
-Self Confidence

6th-8th Graders: The focus for this group will be instruction that will help players develop the tools to play at the next level.

Players will have the opportunity, through the development of a strong skill set, to understand the commitment needed at the high school level. During the academy, players will also be instructed in Advanced Concepts of the game of which, play a critical role in being prepared for high school soccer.

There is some scholarship assistance available for free lunch/reduced lunch eligible families ($25 off of the price).
