1st-2nd Grade Coed Lacrosse
6 sessions from April 6th - May 11th
Saturday mornings at 10:30am at ATA artificial turf field (1650 W. 22nd Ave., Eugene)
Registration Deadline Mar. 29th. Cost $70.
1st year Program: This is an introductory program for the brand new Lacrosse player that is designed for youth to achieve quick success executing the basic skills of lacrosse (cradling, scooping, passing, catching and shooting).
We incorporate drills with fun games to keep the pace moving and to put the newfound skills into practice. We use soft balls and lacrosse sticks that are sized to this group to make sure that everybody is safe and able to handle the equipment.
2nd year Program: This program is designed for the player that has completed the 1st year program or that has some experience with Lacrosse (minimal experience with scooping, cradling, catching and passing)
Each session will start with skill development and introducing new skills, then for second part of each session the players will be divided into teams and play mini games of 3v3 or 4v4 on small field with mini goals.
Players will be provided with modified Lacrosse sticks to use and they will play with soft Lacrosse balls. This version of the game does not require protective equipment. It is our hope that the co-ed 2nd year program will continue to challenge and inspire players to continue playing Lacrosse because they have so much fun in this entry level program.
Cost $70. Players receive a jersey to keep. Registration with US Lacrosse is not required to participate in this 1st-2nd grade coed clinic series.
