Tackle Football Events and Program Details

2017 KIDSPORTS Tackle Football Program:

KIDSPORTS is the largest and longest serving Youth Football Program in Lane County. A lot has changed in the game of football since 1969 when the first KIDSPORTS Tackle Football teams launched, but what hasn't changed is KS's focus on kids.

In fact, the KS Tackle Football Program has never wavered from its time and tradition tested approach to best practices for kids. The program has evolved and grown the sport in Lane County through innovative standards and best practices to advance coach and player development, participation, and safety within the fun of the game and its inherent values.

KS's long standing association with National Organizations such as the Positive Coaching Alliance, USA Football's Heads Up Program, and the National Federation of High Schools keeps our local organization in line with National Safety and Equipment Industry Standards that are critical to keeping the game safe while offering tremendous development and competitive opportunities.

KIDSPORTS USA Heads Up Certified Volunteer Coaches are trained in best practices so "all " kids play in a safe and competitive football environment. KS and our coaches believe in the passion, intensity, joy, confidence, and sense of community football brings to those who play it, coach it, and love it.

At KS you don't have to travel long distances or qualify to win a regional/national championship to be a champion in youth football. The KS Heads Up Certified Volunteer Coaches set standards of championship excellence through proper pre-season preparation, practice planning & protocols, understanding and implementation of safety standards, and the development of character, both on and off the field .

A "championship" culture fosters the development of valuable leadership, mentoring and practical skills, which positions our coaches as positive influential forces in the lives of the young children who play the game.

KS's dedication to football is unprecedented in Lane County. For 48 years, KS has offered a program founded on the principles of development, participation for all, safety, and values that serve as an example of what we do and a constant reminder of why we do it. If you want to play in a local, competitive, and fundamental football program, KIDSPORTS is the place.
