Welcome to the KIDSPORTS Holiday Shootout Basketball Tournament!
All games will be played at two sites: the Regional Sports Center (200 S. 32nd St., Springfield) and at the Fairgrounds Lane County Sports Center (796 W. 13th Ave., Eugene). All schedules and results will be posted on site.
All games will be played under High School Basketball rules with the exception of the following timing rules:
- Games will consist of four 10-minute running clock quarters.
- Halftime is 3 minutes long.
- Each team gets one full timeout and one 30-second timeout per game.
- Overtime periods are 2 minutes long with stopped clock rules.
- Normal stopped clock rules will apply in the last two minutes of the game if the scores of each team are within 10 points of each other.
- KIDSPORTS playing time requirements apply--each player must play at least 10 minutes with at least one entry in each half of the game.
Referee decisions and game results will be final. Protests will only be considered with regards to player and team eligibility. Participation of non-rostered or ineligible players could result in game forfeiture or tournament forfeiture.
During pool play, the team on the left in the schedules will be the home team. During championship and consolation play, the home team will be determined by a coin flip prior to the game. The home team should be prepared to supply a game ball and an official scorekeeper. The visiting team should be prepared to supply a timekeeper.
Rankings in pool play will be determined by record and will be used to place teams in semifinal games. In case of ties at the completion of pool play, teams will be ranked and advanced by use of the following tiebreakers in order:
1. Head-to-Head results
2. Cumulative point differential during pool play (maximum of + or - 15 per game)
3. Least number of technical fouls received during pool play
4. Most points scored
5. Least points allowed
6. Coin flip
Have Fun and Good Luck!
