Current Giving
Every gift to KIDSPORTS is valued and acknowledged, regardless of size. Your gift can take several forms:
Cash. A gift in the form of a check or money order or credit card is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Pledges. A pledge can be made at any time for any amount. You may designate monthly, quarterly or annual payments.
Stocks, bonds and other securities. A gift of this type provides a tax deduction equal to the fair market value when the gift is received.
Memorial or honoraria gifts. A thoughtful way to remember a family member or loved one.
KIDSPORTS, a 501 (c) (3) organization, administers gifts in confidentiality and in strict compliance with donor instructions. Contributions may be earmarked for the specific areas listed under Giving Opportunities. Gifts without designation are applied to the General Fund.
Planned Giving
You can achieve personal financial goals while ensuring that future generations of children have access to fun team sports. Planned giving allows you to make a gift to KIDSPORTS now and receive significant income tax benefits without sacrificing your current lifestyle.
With advice of your professional financial and legal counsel, a variety of planned giving methods may be arranged, depending on your goals. Legal counsel is required to draft trust agreements, wills, and other estate planning documents.
Remembering KIDSPORTS in your will is among the simplest ways to create a legacy that will support young athletes of the future. Gifts may be for specific dollar amounts, a percentage of your estate, or based on what remains after all other obligations are paid. Other types of revocable gifts allow you to name KIDSPORTS as beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance plan.
Types of planned gifts that allow you to make a significant gift to KIDSPORTS and continue to receive income from your assets include charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable lead trusts.
In all gift arrangements, the interests and wishes of the donor come before those of KIDSPORTS. We encourage you to seek professional financial and legal counsel for your particular situation.
Please contact KIDSPORTS for more information about planned giving.
