Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the nation, with the bulk of that growth occurring in the West. There are currently 45 high school programs in Oregon with several new programs joining every year. There are six high school teams in the Eugene/Springfield area that include all the 4J schools, Thurston, and Marist.

For the 2013 season, Eugene youth lacrosse will be a part of forming the Willamette Valley Youth Lacrosse League. Eugene teams will play home and away games on Saturdays against teams from Springfield, Roseburg, and Salem.

Eugene area players will be placed on teams based on the area they live in. Each team will practice during the week in the area they are associated. 1st-2nd grade teams will be formed, 3rd-4th grade teams will be formed, 5th-6th grade teams will be formed and 7th-8th grade teams will be formed.

Spring 2013 prices (doesn't include US Lacrosse registration which must be done seperately):
1st-2nd grade boys = $65
3rd-4th grade boys = $95
5th-6th grade boys = $95
7th-8th grade boys = $95
Participants must provide their own equipment:
1. Helmet w/face mask
2. Shoulder Pads and Arm Pads
3. Gloves
4. Mouth Guard
5. Stick
