FIELD MAINTENANCE CREW Job Description

POSITION: FIELD MAINTENANCE CREW

HOURS: Estimated 40 to 44 hours per week

POSITIONS OPEN: Approx. six (6) starting mid March through August and are open until filled. Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted.

SALARY: $8.50 Per Hour (Starting Wage)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a temporary employee position reporting to the Facilities Supervisor. The primary responsibilities of the field crew is to help in the layout and painting of soccer fields in the spring, as well as field safety maintenance and trash pickup. As the season progresses the field crew will be involved in the daily maintenance and layout of baseball diamonds, helping to provide playing sites that are safe, clean and visually appealing .

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience working with related recreation programs desired but not required. Must be 18 years of age and have a valid Oregon driver’s license, and a good driving record, as well as the ability to drive a stick shift vehicle. Must have own transportation to work site. Field Crew applicants must have experience with various hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, tillers and weed eaters.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES

This position requires working outdoors in all types of weather, and sometimes without direct supervision. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and must be able to work some weekends and holidays as required.
